Q: Why am I such a bitch and hard-ass?

A: I think it's quite obvious...
  1. I have 4 kids under 2 years old (and no it wasn't planned...I'm just the most fertile woman in America, right behind Michelle Duggar).
  2. I'm in charge of EVERYTHING for my family...money, bills, household crap, kids, dog, cat, myself and my husband (but he'd differ on this)...this leaves no time for "taking it easy", "relaxing", "chillin' out"...but I'm over it.
  3. I have to work part-time so I can pay for a nanny to help me out (I would be even bitchier if I didn't have the help)...I don't have a $$ tree.
  4. I'm too rich to collect unemployment, qualify for any help, etc., yet I'm too poor to put my kids in daycare, preschool, etc. or do anything for myself and husband.
  5. Since February 2008, I gained over 150 lbs. during my two pregancies, and am trying to get back to my normal size (only 20 lbs. to go) - and I hate to hear others complain about their weight...unless you've carried a litter of children x2 in less than 2 years...don't talk to me about it!
  6. I hate to hear people complain about "how tough it is" to take care of their 1 or 2 kids...yeah, I know, it's hard, but there are people who have it a lot worse than you...think before you speak...know your audience.
  7. I'd rather be bitchy to you than my kids...they need nice Mommy and they're going to take care of me when I'm old (think 20 years from now).
  8. I really want to be nice, but I just can't seem to remember where I left it...

  1. Nina - Not pissed, but...

    1. Please remember there are people with medical issues making weight loss more difficult than what you may have experienced.

    2. Also, please keep in mind that saying "you only have 1 or 2" might come off as a little insensitive to folks with a differnt fertility problem than you.

Other than that, I agree with everything else.

  2. So true!!! I 100% guarantee - as a mom of two sets of twins - I know! My kids are now 7 and 6, but different stresses and problems have developed. When I feel at my worst, I think what I need most is 2 or more hours away to do something that I enjoy, because with all the chaos, my needs usually come last.

  3. Great post! I envy you as you were able to have four kids naturally! But sometimes when Brayden has his tantrums, and my dogs are pooping, and peeing all over the place, barking, and whatever else, I'm like maybe I don't envy Nina. And taking my hormones are not fun!!!!! I feel like crap.

  4. I get it. I thought having 3 under 1 at one point was tough. I can't imagine 4 under 2.

  6. Maybe you should think before you speak too...I wouldn't be so quick to consider your situation "worse than..." anything else.

  8. This post is really insulting to a lot of people (and I know because I sent them this blog). Honestly, you should think before YOU speak. You don't know what other people are going through. You can't judge people with 1 or 2 kids and say you have it worse?
Weight issues? There are plenty of people who have their own weight issues and it IS hard for them to drop the lbs (with or without having the baby weight).
This post is really arrogant and while I respect the fact that you have 4 kids, I know a lot of people who have multiple children and they are as nice as can be. Also, Michelle Dugger isn't a bitch and she has 19 kids...she is thankful for her life and not that I watch the show all the time but I have never once heard her complain about all her kids.
Just because you have 4 kids under 2, doesn't make you a better (or more stressed out) mom than other moms.
Woe, is you...is how this comes off.

  11. I read and re-read Nina's blog entry and I don't see her saying having 1, 2 or 3 kids isn't hard, and I don't see her saying that your weight issues are not worthy, what I do here her saying is: these are things she doesn't want to hear about. I think it's crazy that people would take offensive to her "reason's for being bitchy", they are her reasons, and I think she's quite valid for feeling the way she does.
